The O. Wayne Rollins Planetarium at Young Harris College will host “Moons: Worlds of Mystery” this Friday, September 9 at 8 p.m., and Friday, September 23 at 8 p.m. The Planetarium is housed in the Maxwell Center for Mathematics and Sciences on the YHC campus, which is located at 1 College Street, Young Harris, Georgia. Admission to the show is $5 for adults, $3 for children, and free for YHC students and employees.
At this show, the audience will take a journey through our solar system and explore the remarkable diversity of Moons. Narrated by actor Ed Helms, this production follows in the footsteps of astronauts to our own silvery Moon, then ventures beyond to unfamiliar and exotic worlds. Moons are natural satellites with spectacular features, and many exert a surprising influence on their planetary partners. The community is invited to YHC to learn what these celestial bodies reveal about the history and workings of our solar system.
