ContraForce has one goal, and that is to rock out some fiddle tunes. This three-piece powerhouse packs the frenzied bowing arm of Andrae Raffield, the Donkey Kong slammin' palms of drummer and saxophone player Joey Dorwart, and the acoustic and electric guitar of Jimi Periano, into a hurricane of energetic contra music. Beginners, singles and couples welcome. Beginners should come promptly at 8 pm, since we start with easier dances and more teaching.
